Distracted

This was a quick piece i made for a Digital art class, the assignment being a "Visual Blooper" or "Anachronism". given the nature of the project, i immediately knew i had to put a modern spin on a medieval painting, and so here we find the famous painting "accolade" by Edmund Blair, with some slight anachronistic changes. Project was made in Photoshop.
below is the blurb that was submitted alongside the piece:

"here we see my piece: Distracted. depicting a knight receiving his honors by a noble maiden, as depicted in the famous painting "Accolades" by Edmund Blair. atop this painting i have added the anachronism of two of the characters in the piece being clearly distracted by their phones, the knight scrolling through TikTok, and the squire boy taking a photo.

I got the idea while working with this same painting for another photoshop project, and given my love for all things medieval, I knew exactly what i wanted to do for this project as well.

The project, although i am fond of it, does disappoint me somewhat, as despite the effort put into it, the edited portion still takes up very little of the total space, still mostly resembling the original painting. had i not already completed it by the time of this revelation, i may have taken up a different, more substantially different project."
